Roger Sewhcomar - Producer/Director/Writer

Roger Sewhcomar, an English expatriate with Guyanese roots, created Limey Films in October 2005. After moving to New York in May 2000, Roger worked on and produced numerous independent films in differing roles. His most recent film; 'New York Drag', a 50-minute documentary about Lucky Chengs, the east village's most bawdy drag queen nightclub, was purchased by HERE TV in 2005.

In the UK Roger worked as a journalist and documentary filmmaker contributing to national publications such as The Independent, Daily Mail, Financial Times and Arena. He also directed TV programs and in his spare time taught TV Production to ex-cons on probation. He hopes to combine a career devising TV projects and directing and writing independent films.

Limey Films is a consortium of talented individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. For each project we shall seek out the most tailored individuals from our pool of resources and custom build a crew for your needs and budget. We have fresh talent from all over the world, including union and non-union crew.

We are primarily concerned with filmmaking but realize in order to survive as a new company, smaller projects must be considered. We are currently attracting contracts in the field of corporate training, documentary, music videos and short films. Each client will be treated individually and quality will be our overall concern.

Our aim is to produce at least one feature film/documentary per year and through our unique choice of script and method of storytelling we hope to create a hallmark associated with Limey Films.

Our most recent clients include: Channel 4 UK, BBC, National Geographic, Here TV Los Angeles, Liza Minnelli, Ben Vereen, Tony Roberts, Credit Suisse, Granada USA, NYPD, Northstar Media.

We are able to take a project from embryonic stages and develop a vision with our clients that is realistic for your budget. Above all we seek clients that have a distinct vision that challenges our minds.

Limey Films can help with budgets, scheduling, film look, crew calling and choice of location. We may also be able to raise funds if you already have part of your budget secured.
